Frequently asked questions

Does Rupa Health interpret lab results?

Rupa's focus is the ordering and fulfillment side — finding a specialty lab, ordering the kit, getting results back. The interpretation is left to the practitioner using the lab's own report. SomaVue is purpose-built for the interpretation step that comes after.

Can I import Rupa-ordered results into SomaVue?

Yes — when Rupa orders run through Quest or LabCorp, the result PDF imports directly into SomaVue. For specialty-lab PDFs not in Quest/LabCorp format, enter the relevant marker values manually and SomaVue applies the same four-lens interpretation.

Do I need both?

If you order specialty labs, Rupa is the standard workflow tool. If you also interpret blood chemistry — CBC, CMP, thyroid, iron, hormones — SomaVue is built specifically for that interpretation step. Many practices use Rupa for ordering and SomaVue for interpretation.

Does SomaVue plan to add lab ordering?

No. Lab ordering is a fulfillment business with shipping, billing, and lab-partnership complexity. SomaVue is staying focused on interpretation depth.
