Copper, RBC
Copper, RBC is a clinical biomarker on the Nutrients panel, reported in mg/L. Standard reference range: 0.53–0.91 mg/L. Functional (optimal) range used by integrative practitioners: 0.53–0.91 mg/L.
What is Copper, RBC?
RBC copper reflects longer-term intracellular copper status (2–3 month turnover) and is less influenced by acute-phase reactants or estrogen than serum copper. Quest reports the assay in mg/L; LabCorp uses µg/mL (numerically identical).
Reference ranges
| Range type | Value (mg/L) | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Standard (lab) | 0.53–0.91 | Typical Quest / LabCorp adult reference |
| Functional (optimal) | 0.53–0.91 | Integrative / functional medicine consensus |
How SomaVue interprets Copper, RBC
SomaVue maps every result for Copper, RBC against four clinical lenses — nutrient cofactors, toxin exposure, infection drivers, and circadian/hormonal context — and connects each interpretation to specific peer-reviewed citations. Pre-mapped clinical reasoning and cross-marker pattern detection are available inside the practitioner workspace.
